Jaflong is one of the most frequently visited picnic spots in Sylhet. Jaflong is located in the East Jaflong Union under Guainghat Upazilla. It is about 56 km from Sylhet city and takes approximately two hours to reach there.
It is located among tea gardens and hills. This place is located beside the river Piyain in the lap of Hill Khashia.
It is also situated at the no-mans-land on the India-Bangladesh border from where tourists can enjoy the
best view of the Meghalaya hills. A few yards ahead on the Indian side is a bridge between two hills that is the top attraction in Jaflong zero point.
If we talk about the natural beauty in Bangladesh, the name "Jaflong" comes out for its natural beauty. Thousands of tourists come to visit Jaflong every month.
Visitors have to hire boats to go to the Zero Point to enjoy the beautiful scenery
of the hanging bridge above the Dauki.
Besides the Zero Point, two beautiful villages (Sangrampunji and Nakshiapunji) are situated. Tourists have to rent boats, especially Engine boats to cross the Piyain river to go to Those villages.
