Lalakhal- another daughter of nature

Lalakhal is one of the most popular picnic spots in Sylhet. It is located on the border side of Bangladesh. It is situated between Sylhet City and Jaflong picnic spot is a wide channel in the Sari River near the Tamabil road. Lalakhal is covered with tea gardens, betel nut gardens,  hills, natural forests, and rivers. Mostly, tourists enjoy the blue water coming from the waterfall of Indian hill (Cherrapunji). To go to zero point at Lalakhal tourists have to hire a boat. The riding boat is the main attraction in Lalakhal.

There are two ways to reach Lalakhal. Tourists can go to lalakhal by microbus but they miss the enjoyment of riding a boat which is the main attraction in Lalakhal. The other way is to hire a boat from Sharighat Boat Station to go to Lalakhal.  It can take about an hour to reach the main picnic spot from Sarighat. Tourists have to hire boats wherever they go.
