Malnicherra Tea Estate (also known as Malnichhera Tea Garden) is a tea garden located in Sylhet Sadar Upazila of Bangladesh. It is very close to Sylhet city. It is the oldest tea garden in the Indian subcontinent. Malnichhera Tea Garden is not only the largest and first established tea garden in Bangladesh but also in the Indian subcontinent. It was established by Lord Hudson in 1849 on 1500 acres of land. The tea garden is located a short distance from Sylhet International Airport. Harong Hurong is an ancient cave situated in the remote area of Malnicherra. Although the tea garden is currently under private supervision, It is well-known as a place of choice for tourists to have a good time and take beautiful photographs.
